Replacing the problematic, unreliable and antique-looking legacy strobe light in the wingtip of Gulfstream IV’s and V’s was one of the first requests, because it just does not fit with the sleekest business jet in the world’s looks. Of course, the entire project was limited by the drop-in replacement requirement, so making the trademark Aveo sleek designs was not possible on most of these retrofit lights, but still the result was a cool appearance, a lighter weight product, a brighter light, and more reliable strobe with the amazing live status indicators of Aveo’s built-in LEDCheck™ system. After more than 2000 lights flying there has never been a warranty return.
SmartStrobe™ is a solid-state, hermetically sealed strobe LED light that is TSO’d and simple drop-in replacements for these old legacy lights – Honeywell 30-2446 (Strobe light) and Honeywell 60-4943 (Strobe power supply).
